Chef Ian Angus founded the original burrito boyz restaurant on Peter Street 8 years ago and his burritos have received rave reviews from satisfied customers ever since. Ian sold his interest in the name "burrito boyz" in 2008 and re-branded the original Peter street location - "Burrito Bandidos" - while continuing to serve the most celebrated burritos in the city. In 2009, Ian opened a second location in the Annex at 362 Bloor Street W. (entrance on Walmer Rd.). In March 2011, the third Burrito Bandidos store opened at 496 Yonge Street, just North of College Park (entrance on Grosvenor St.).

Burrito Bandidos has received numerous awards including: Best Lunch from the readers of Eye Magazine; Best Burrito from NOW Magazine's critic's pick; Best Late Night Munchies from DineTO, and has been Recommended in Toronto Life's Restaurant Guide for Best Burrito.
